What
is the Drop Dead 2 Festival?
DD2
is an international gathering celebrating horror music genres
like deathrock, gothic rock, psychobilly,
monster surf and garage and horror punk. A production of the
highly successful NY Decay Production Company, 2003's Drop
Dead Festival 1 drew bands, DJs, and attendees from all over
the globe to the NYC premier and satellite dates in other
cities. This year, Drop Dead 2 returns to NYC, bigger, darker
and deadlier, for a three-day
celebration of all that is dramatic in music, fashion, and
ideology.

DD2 returns to NYC September 3rd, 4th and 5th, occupying all
spaces at the legendary Knitting Factory, a venue that has
3 floors, 4 bars and 5 spaces for bands, dancing and vendors.

Who
will perform?
Featuring
National and international Horror acts, this festival is also
the biggest Deathrock Festival in the World. Festival Will
Feature over 66 Bands and DJ's including exclusive reunions
by UK Gothic legends Ausgang and Skeletal Family,
and USA heroes Holy Cow. Festival will also have an
exclusive performance by today's top gothic/deathrock band
California's Cinema Strange (CA), and one of the top
American psychobilly bands NJ's own Speed Crazy. Over 50 other
bands and a number of DJs from all over the world will perform,

Why
is DD2 a one-of-a-kind event?
More than a musical event, Drop Dead is a gathering of subcultures
rooted in the gothic and dramatic. For three days, Knitting
Factory NYC will be transformed with stage designs, murals,
and thematic art making each room a unique experience. In addition
to bands and DJs from all over the globe, vendors and artisans
giveaways, festival will also host a monster movie matinees,
fashion shows, and burlesque performances during the days. DD
draws community members from as far away as Los Angeles, Germany,
Holland and Japan; and as close as the neighbourhoods of NYC.
From the NYC punk and rockabilly subculture, to Deep South psychobillies,
to European deathrock fans, and American Goths this is cross-genre
convocation, praised in print and online here and abroad. What
is NY Decay? The NY Decay Production Company organizes events
to unite and promotes the punk rock, deathrock, and psychobilly
communities on the East Coast NY Decay-produced Johnny Cash
Tribute/Diabetes Association Benefit with over 30 bands filled
Knitting Factory NYC with fans and artists ranging from punk
rock to Americana. . Last year's debut of NYC Drop Dead Festival
drew international acclaim. Drop Dead shows and Festivals in
Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and NJ were also cross-genre
success, drawing fans from many musical communities.
